Questions about credits

How are credits actually charged?

Talking time is billed by the minute, afterwards — 5 credits for each minute you were actually in the interview. Nothing is held upfront for it. Coding rounds and the skill challenge are the exception: those are charged when you start, because we build the problems before you arrive.

What if I finish early?

You pay for the minutes you used and nothing else. Walk out after four minutes and it costs four minutes — there is no held amount to give back, because we never took one.

What does the coding round cost?

20 credits, flat, however many problems it contains. Depending on the length and difficulty of the interview that's one, two, or three problems — never more than three.

And the skill challenge?

30 credits, flat, on the same basis. It is a hands-on task in a technology the role actually asks for — a React component, a SQL query, a bug to find in code we give you, or a system design scenario where that is what the job needs. Up to three of them, depending on length and difficulty.

How long is an interview?

Difficulty decides it. Easy runs 10-15 minutes, medium 15-20, hard 20-30. There is no duration picker: a hard interview needs the room to go deep, and an easy one stretched to half an hour just repeats itself.

How many credits do I need to start?

Enough for the interview's shortest length — 50 credits for easy, 75 for medium, 100 for hard, plus any modules. If your balance covers less than the full length, the interview simply ends when your credits run out rather than running up a debt.

What happens if an interview fails?

You get every credit back automatically, and you will see the refund on your credits page. A failed interview or a failed report never costs you anything.

Do credits expire?

No. Buy them now, use them the week before your interview.
